In short: OVERTIME is a new, patented add-on for the Lynxter S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11 silicone 3D printer. It extends how long two-part silicone can stay printable inside the print head, giving up to 36x more printing autonomy. That means you can use the printer’s full build volume in a single job, print larger and more complex parts, and run real production quantities in true silicone without molds or tooling. Pivot AM Service is the North American distributor for the Lynxter S300X.
What problem does OVERTIME solve?
Lynxter has been developing silicone 3D printing since 2016, and the S300X has become one of the most established industrial silicone printers on the market. It prints real two-part (RTV2) silicone, not a silicone-like resin. That gives you true end-use material properties, but it comes with a limit.
Once the two components of the silicone are mixed in the print head, curing starts. Until now, that cure time set a ceiling on how long any single print could run. It capped part size, the number of parts per build plate, and how practical silicone printing was for production runs.
How does Lynxter OVERTIME work?
OVERTIME extends the working time of the silicone inside the print head, so material stays printable far longer without affecting the properties of the finished part. Lynxter rates the result at 36x more printing autonomy than before.
In practice, that opens up:
- Full build volume in one print: fill the entire build plate in a single job
- Larger parts: print sizes that weren’t possible inside the old cure window
- Production-scale quantities: run batches of end-use parts, not just prototypes
- Uninterrupted runs: fewer restarts, less operator intervention
- Finer detail: thin-walled geometries at higher resolution
Which materials and nozzles are compatible?
OVERTIME works with several silicones, including Lynxter SIL-001, SIL-002 and SIL-004, plus the COPSIL-0550, COPSIL-1050, COPSIL-2550 and COPSIL-4050 ranges. It’s available with nozzle diameters from 0.40 mm to 1.00 mm.
Case study: 170,000 silicone gaskets in three months
The first real-world use of OVERTIME shows what this means for manufacturers.
A customer producing a leak-proof silicone gasket for an olive oil bottle found a design flaw after the part had already gone into production. They had committed to delivering 10,000 units right away, with another 170,000 to follow.
Their conventional options didn’t work:
- Redesigning and recutting a compression mold was too expensive.
- Injection molding had too long a lead time to meet the delivery.
With the S300X and OVERTIME, they printed the corrected gasket directly in real silicone. There was no tooling investment and no mold lead time, and they got a functional, end-use part. According to Lynxter, the printed parts came in at roughly half the cost of injection molding, and the customer met its delivery commitments.

Who should consider the S300X with OVERTIME?
OVERTIME makes silicone 3D printing a realistic option for:
- Manufacturers needing bridge production, custom seals and gaskets, or parts below molding minimums
- Medical and orthotics teams producing patient-specific silicone devices
- Aerospace and surface treatment shops printing masks and caps
- R&D and soft robotics groups that need larger or more complex elastomer parts
Frequently asked questions
What is Lynxter OVERTIME?
OVERTIME is a patented option for the Lynxter S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11 silicone 3D printer. It extends the printable working time of two-part silicone, giving up to 36x more printing autonomy.
Does OVERTIME change the properties of the printed silicone?
No. Lynxter states that OVERTIME extends printing time without affecting material performance.
Can silicone 3D printing replace injection molding?
For many low-to-mid volume runs, bridge production, and urgent design changes, yes. In the gasket case study, printing with OVERTIME cost about half as much as injection molding and avoided mold lead times entirely.
